WASHINGTON, July 10, 2024 — Glen Echo Group announced today that Tommy Kaelin, previously Director of Public Affairs at the Progressive Policy Institute (PPI), has joined Glen Echo Group’s DC office as a Director, where he will primarily focus on artificial intelligence, privacy and content moderation issues.

Kaelin served as PPI’s first Digital Director, where he built out the organization’s digital footprint to amplify PPI’s brand in new, creative ways. As Director of Public Affairs, he collaborated with PPI’s numerous policy teams and external partners to create compelling narratives around both domestic and international policy issues. Kaelin previously served as Communications Director at New Democracy and worked on Capitol Hill with Members of Congress and the House Judiciary Committee in a variety of digital communications capacities.

“Through my work promoting effective policies that advance innovation and stimulate competition, I’ve long been familiar with Glen Echo Group’s impressive work on and vast knowledge of the tech policy issues that help shape our ever-changing society,” said Kaelin. “I feel privileged to join this talented team of public affairs professionals and contribute to this important work, especially at such a pivotal moment when new regulatory efforts continue to impact our rapidly evolving tech sector.”

“We are simply delighted to welcome Tommy to the team, especially since so many of us have had the pleasure of working with him at various stages in his impressive career,” said Maura Corbett, the firm’s founder and CEO. “In these tumultuous times for tech and innovation across the globe, Tommy’s creative communication and digital skills will be a huge asset to our clients and partners as we navigate what lies ahead.”
